Marvellous location with views over the plain. Artemis andMiranda are very smiley and makes excellent Greek coffee the proper way with a briki. The cakes and pastries that the girls make freshly most days are a real treat, perhaps not too much for the tummy but with cakes like this does it matter? Don’t forget the Sfakian pies made with milzithra cheese and drizzled with local honey! A most pleasant cafe to spend some time. The attached ceramic studio is a gem with all Miranda’s works on display and of course available to buy for that little gift that you promised yourself? What is not to like?

After discovering Visalo Ceramics online, we’ve been looking forward to visiting for some time and it did not disappoint! Beautiful views from the cafe and very special to experience a small village atmosphere - and the beautiful handmade ceramics were a feast for the eyes. We purchased a few as souvenirs and wish we could have taken more! Also the coffee and lunch at the studio were also delicious, we would visit again!

Such a wonderful, relaxing and cosy oasis. Serves snacks and sells beautiful ceramics. I recommend trying the goat milk based ice cream and a Greek coffee. Very friendly staff. Perfect after a stop by the nearby war museum.

Miranda and Artemis have created a gem, a beautifully creative and innovative interior, full of handmade and interesting furniture and fittings; a friendly, relaxed and inviting atmosphere; discrete jazz music in the background; in all a very sophisticated experience. We had lovely homemade lemonade and super Goatit - goat's milk icecream from Heraklion, while chilling out watching the Askifou plain and the mountains
